What is the leveling system in boxing?

I want to start boxing, but I am 16 years old. I was just wondering who I will be pitted against at the beginning of my training, like, do they go by my age, or skill, or time training? As well, I was wondering if there was a system like the martial arts “belts” to determine boxing ranks.

when you first start off after say a month or so and you start sparring it will be somebody that was probably training as long as you.as for fights usually when you have your first fight you go against somebody with a fight or 2.they do that for your first ten fights which are novice but when you get into open class 10 fights or more,you can fight a guy that could have 100 or more fights and be almost 5 years older then you as long as they are in the same weight class as you.BTW im not 100%sure because these are the rules in canada:D
