the definition of mint or near mint in MTG cards?

I’ve got a noble hierarch which I believe costs around $14 near mint. My noble hierarch has like 6 little white spots on the edge of the black border, 4 the size of this `, and 2 the size of the dot on this i. Is that considered near mint? And whats considered mint?

if a card is mint, it it literally perfect, without even a little scratch or imperfection.. basically, the end result of what comes out of the factory. By the sound of what your saying, your keeps seems to be Near mint, which is like the condition you said its in. i would really need to see it to judge better.
