Console Rrod
Is it possible to fix the rrod myself?
I don’t have the rrod I’m just wondering. Also I’d I fix the rrod on a console can it still catch the E74 or any other failure? Is it possible to fix those? Can I get banned from XBL? Please only answer if you are possitive.
There are several temporary fixes on the internet, but as it suggests, it only works for a few days. If you are smart enough you can go to Lowe’s and spend 20 buck and fix it, but you have to know what you are doing (I had a friend do it but he is a computer guy anyways). Best thing to do if you still have a warranty is to send it off, that way it doesn’t void anything and you know you are getting a new box (they will probably send you a new one no charge like they did with my bf when his red ringed). You won’t void any warranties and you won’t risk messing your console up.
As far as the other stuff, I’m not sure cause I only know what I know from experience. I am pretty sure you won’t get banned for fixing your box as long as it isn’t modded (sp?) or you aren’t cheating microsoft out of anything.
